CAPTAIN BEEFHEART AND HIS MAGIC BAND – SAFE AS MILK LP (1970 – 2ND PRESSING) (BUDDAH BDS 5063) (VG++/vg)

·      BAND: US Blues Psych-Rock artist from Los Angeles, CA circa 67/82.  This was his first LP in 1967.

·      TOTAL OUTPUT: Approximately 20 singles and 13 LP’s (67/82).

·      PRESSING: Second US Pressing, Monarch, 1970.

·      LABEL: Buddah (Multi-color swirl with black lettering) (BDS 5063)

·      MATRIX RUNOUT NUMBERS (Etched):  A: (BDS 5063 A ?15058) B: (BDS 5063 B ?15058-X)

·      CONDITION: FRONT COVER: VG (Minor ring-wear. Top seam has 4 inch split on right side and 2 inch split on left side. Bottom seam has no wear and no splits. Spine has no wear and lettering is not impacted. Top right corner has slight tear where sticker was removed.

·      CONDITION: BACK COVER: VG++ (Better than Front cover, less visible ring wear)

·      CONDITION: DUST JACKET SLEEVE: VG+ (features all the Buddah artists circa 1970 and has a 2 inch split in the bottom. Has moderate aging browning.

·      CONDITION: VINYL: Plays with minimal surface noise on quiet passages and has overall audio grade of VG++.

NOTE: My LP’s are visually graded with the exception of two sound samples from the first songs on each side which can be heard with the links provided below.

Hi folks, this is Velvetfogg, founder of the U-SPACES music collective which ran from 1997 to 2020 on Yahoogroups.  I try to list records on Sundays, some Auction and some Buy It Now.

GRADING SCALE:

NM/M: Played once or twice. No visible surface or playback wear.

EX: Has been played but has no scratches, minimal to no wear and plays without surface noise.

EX- Plays without surface noise, but might have a few visible minor scratches.

VG++: May have a few surface scratches or a little wear, but plays nicely with only minimal surface noise and clicks.

VG+: "Typical used record".  A little wear, a few minor (light) scratches, but plays well. Surface noise may be more present during soft passages. No Skips

VG: More wear and significant surface noise. Deeper scratches. May have a skip.

G: Significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. (Beat up record!) May have skips.

(All LP’s are visually-graded with sound samples being provided for the first song on each side.)

LP’s ship via USPS Priority Mail Cubic (domestic) or USPS First Class International. Professional cardboard 45 mailers will be used with proper bubble packing.

Priority Shipping is available for higher priced international items upon request and includes insurance but is expensive. (For international orders, please research these costs in your country prior to bidding.
