GRADING: Below are the grading standards we use to grade all records, this includes LP's, EP's, 45's and 78's. Strict and uniform grading guidlines are used and we strive to be as accurate as possible in our grading by listing flaws with grades, however, if you are unhappy with any item, please contact us to work out a solution, at jpgarchar@sbcglobal.net. 

All records are original unless noted. Some hard-to-fibd or rare items with condition grades below FINE (Very Good, Good and Fair) are listed for their HISTORICAL and COLLECTIBLE value and may not be available in any other condition.

All records are visually graded unless noted. If we are unsure of a records condition, we will then play grade the LP to insure quality of grade for loud pops, clicks and skipping. Records that fall under these grades are clearly marked with condition.

STILL SEALED  Still Factory Sealed items are assumed to be mint and are sold as-is, as we have no way to inspect them, only after careful consideration do we list a still sealed item.

MINT  Looks brand new and factory freash as the day it was released. Clean with no marks or flaws what-so-ever. There is no substitute for this grade.

NEAR MINT   A Few very light microscopic surface marks, mostly paper scuffs are barely visible, but are most likely inaudible, and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new

EXCELLENT  This is somewhere between VG++ and NEAR MINT. Some very light surface marks or paper scuffs are visible, but they are extremely light and only moderately visually distracting (nothing significant).For the most part, the vinyl looks great without any major visual flaws or imperfections. Much of the original luster is intact, and the vinyl shines almost like new.

STRONG VERY GOOD++   A few light abrasions (mostly paper scuffs from storage) are visible, but they are insignificant to the overall condition of the vinyl, and are only moderately visually distracting. For most part, the vinyl looks great without any major visual flaws or imperfections. Much of the original luster is intact and the vinyl shines almost like new.

(STRONG) VERY GOOD+  CAUTION: The vinyl is NOT MINT or NEAR MINT, but  is nevertheless in a very nice and clean condition. There are some surface marks and abrasions (paper scuffs), mostly light and superficial, although some can be longer than 1 1/4 inches.   Most of the original luster is still intact.

There are a few surface marks and abrasions, mostly light and superficial, although some may be longer than 1 1/4 inches and a few others that might cause short periods of pops and clicks, especially during the low, quiet passages.

VERY GOOD- CAUTION: The vinyl is NOT MINT or NEAR MINT, with multiple, numerous, scuffs and abrasions, which are visible, touchable and audible. The record plays with bearable audible surface noise and numerous pops and clicks. This record plays without skipping. Surface noise is heard in low, quiet passages and is more in the background throughout the record, but still does not overtake the music. (All records that have loud pops or skipping, we be clearly marked)   

GOOD  CAUTION: The vinyl is NOT MINT or NEAR MINT, with multiple, numerous, scuffs and abrasions which are visible, touchable and audible. The record plays with above average audible surface noise and numerous pops and clicks. The surface noise is even with or at times overtakes the recording. This record may play throughout, without skipping. (All records that have loud pops or skipping, will be clearly marked)

FAIR TO POOR  CAUTION: The vinyl is NOT MINT or NEAR MINT, with multiple, numerous, scuffs, abrasions which are visible, touchable and audible. The record plays with unbearable audible surface noise and continious pops and clicks. This record most likely will play with numerous skipping and jumping. (All records that have loud pops or skipping, will be clearly marked)

Covers that have been neatly taped to repair seam splits will be clearlky marked, these are covers of LP's and EP's that are rare or collectible and may not be available in any other condition, Repaired covers will never be graded above VERY GOOD.
