Artist : Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band Title : Strictly Personal Catalogue Number : LBL 83172 Matrix Number : LBL 83172 A-1 / B-1 Issue : Rare UK MONO 1st Press. This rare 1st press is complete with the original blue Liberty label, the earliest A-1/B-1 matrix and matt gatefold sleeve. Not only is this the rare MONO press it also has the rare Mono printed sleeve and mono sleeve catalogue number. Due to limited stock many of the Mono presses had stereo sleeves. Vinyl Condition : The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition. It has the original jet black gloss, there are a couple very light wispy marks and some light markings from the polylined inner sleeve but these have no affect on play. The grooves show no sign of heavy play and every track gleams. Label Condition : The blue is bright and the colours are bold. The text is sharp. There is just the very slightest spindle wear. Inner Condition : The white sleeve has a little discolouration but it is clean, bright and all the edges are unworn. The sleeve is solid. Sleeve Condition : The gatefold sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition. This sleeve is delicate and is often so worn but this sleeve is extremely solid and bright. There is a little spine and edge wear but they are still firm. The inside is superb. The mono catalogue number and text are clear on the front and the spine. Play Condition : There are moments of the very slightest noise but it is extremely bold, clear and vibrant from start to finish.
