Description

One of the most amazing records ever recorded.  Highly collectible 1969 "Trout Mask Replica" by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band.  Straight Records gatefold stereo STS1053 with the original lyric tri-fold insert.

I purchased this record in 1969 and is from my personal collection.  This is NOT a reissue. 

The gatefold jacket is in "EX+" condition with minor edgewear on the corners, faint ringwear on the front cover and small wrinkle on the lower right front corner (see photos).   

The two records are in "NM-" condition with no spindle marks, excellent rainbow highlights and no visible wear; the side one label has the incorrect title of "Moonlight 'in' Vermont" while the jacket has the correct title of "Moonlight 'on' Vermont" (see photos).   

Grading is based on the following::

“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.

“M” Mint - a near perfect, or unplayed record.

“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.

EX+ - close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.

EX - a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.

VG+ - There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.

VG - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise,still plays great.
