Description
Original first pressing of the legendary Trout Mask Replica gatefold double LP produced by Frank Zappa for his Straight label.
The only difference from the USA version is the small print on the center label: "manufactured by the Compo co. for Straight".
The center labels and matrix are "STS-1053" Stereo. Subsequent pressings had the 1053 jacket, but with labels numbered 2027 instead.
Includes the original glossy tri-panel lyric insert (pictured), hand-stamped "printed in USA".
Both records look unplayed, they are in NM shape, other than some superficial scuffs/marks on sides 1 & 4, which do not affect the sound.
Cover in VG++ condition, very nice other than very light wear on edges, ringwear front & back.
There is a small name and year written inside, on the right panel of the gatefold.
