PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE SAME STRAIGHT RECORDS COPY OF THE 'TROUT MASK REPLICA' 2 LP SET THAT I OFFERED LAST WEEK - THAT COPY HAS BEEN SOLD, THIS IS A SECOND DIFFERENT COPY IN SOMEWHAT LESSER CONDITION.  This is a reasonably priced VG/VG+ CONDITION ORIGINAL 1969 U.S. STRAIGHT RECORDS pressing of the legendary and historic groundbreaking avant garde 1969 2 LP set titled 'Trout Mask Replica' from Don Van Vliet AKA Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band, produced by Frank Zappa. It is Straight Records catalog number STS 1053, gatefold cover, WITH ITS ORIGINAL 10" X 33" FOLDOUT LYRIC SHEET INSERT WITH ORIGINAL ARTWORK. Records come packaged inside the gatefold cover in their original Straight Records stock inner sleeves, which have a few splits and tears which have been repaired with clear tape. Condition of both records is a low to mid VG+ with each record having some sleeve and surface marks and scuffs which cannot be felt and do not affect play.  Condition of foldout lyric sheet insert is VG with some light staining and wrinkles from exposure to slight moisture and some signs of use. Condition of gatefold cover is conservatively VG-/VG with the main flaw being some areas along the left edge of the cover and the spine which appear to have been attacked by the pesty paper eating silverfish we have here in Florida, where the top layer of paper appears to have been eaten away as can be seen in my accompanying image.  Cover also has a 3/4" split in the right side of the bottom edge of the front gatefold, a moderate to fair amount of ring and contact wear, and some general wear along the edges and on the corners.
