CAPTAIN BEEFHEART

Issue : US 2nd Press
This is the scarce US press of 'Trout Mask Replica' by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band. This early press is on the original pink Straight label, with the original rare Straight printed company inner sleeves and heavy cardboard gatefold sleeve.
The records are in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a stunning gloss with just a couple of light marks on each side. All sides have only been lightly played and show no significant marks at all. On playing as soon as the needle touches the record there is a momentary crackle but this soon clears and the sound is extremely vibrant, bold and sharp. There is some light background noise but there is no major sound reduction at any point. The labels are completely clean, with vivid colours and sharp text. There is only light spindle wear. The records are complete with their original inner sleeves in Excellent condition.
The gatefold sleeve is in Good condition. The colours are vivid and the images are clear. There is some ring wear, a split on the back top edge and some general wear. The inside and the back of the sleeve are very bright, the colours are superb and very clean. The whole cover still feels very solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
