Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band---"Trout Mask Relica"---Original UK 1st Press Stereo Double Album In Mostly NM Playing Condition On The Straight Label---A1, B1, C1 and D1 From 1969---This Is The Very First With "BLIMB" Instead Of "BLIMP" Text
This is a UK pressing from 1969 in stereo on the Straight label, cat. no. 2 STS 1063 with matrices A1, B1, C1 and D1.
Vinyl: NM. The vinyl is in superb condition with a great shine and no marks at all. Side 1 plays EX+ with just a little light surface in quiet parts but the other 3 sides play superb NM or even better. It has probably only been played once or twice.
Labels: EX+. Labels are in lovely condition with the name "COL" written on sides 1 and 3. There are hardly any spindle lines. This copy has the "BLIMB" intead of "BLIMP" text on track 5 of side 4. This proves that it is the very 1st pressing and extremely rare!
Sleeve: VG. The gatefold sleeve is in solid condition but has a lot of wear and damage. It is, of course, the very 1st E.J. Day version but has a heavily worn spine, as you can see. It also has a mishapened top, which looks as if it has been cut.
With a low start price you could get yourself a real bargain.
