CAPTAIN BEYOND s/t hard rock psych lp 3d cover!

1972/USA/Capricorn CP 0105……. this is an original pressing of their heavy first. The 3d cover is in strong VG++ condition, lower left corner has been dinged and creased and upper left corner is dinged and creased, there are two long light vertical creases on the back closer to the opening, otherwise the cover is clean with no splits, delete or other issues. The vinyl is in strong VG++ condition with just some ultra light inaudible hairline scuffs/stains from the inner sleeve, the record plays clean with little noise and excellent fidelity. The labels are clean with only a couple of light spindle marks. A side label is slightly off center. A very nice clean original copy for your collection! The original line-up for Captain Beyond were singer Rod Evans, guitarist Larry "Rhino" Reinhardt, bassist Lee Dorman, and drummer Bobby Caldwell. Evans was the original lead singer for Deep Purple and probably best known for his vocals on their 1968 debut chart-breaker "Hush". Reinhardt and Dorman had played in Iron Butterfly; Dorman, in particular, played on most of Butterfly's early albums, including their 1968 breakthrough In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. Caldwell had come to prominence playing with Johnny Winter. This line-up recorded the self-titled debut album, released in 1972. The album cover for the U.S. release included 3-D artwork (using lenticular printing).

MINT: as stated with no defects

M- OR NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition, I also play grade the records on high end equipment and will give an honest play grade as well as visual grade, considering the number of records I buy on line my grading is very conservative and fair.
