Great essential second album by Caravan. The first five albums by Caravan are all stonecold classics and all worth investigating.
Machined matrices
Vinyl: VG+. A lovely vinyl with strong audio. NO skips or sticks, light static mostly between tracks. There are only a few hairlines. These do not sound and there are no ticks. I have listened to the whole album and it sounded great. A few tiny factory pressing "blips" on side 1 again these have hardly any impact on the sound. The vinyl is heavy an has a beautiful deep sheen.
Sleeve: VG++ to EX. Front laminated with light laminate lift near the spine (see pic). Light ring to the front only visible if held at a certain angle. The rear is also lovely without any smudging or writing. Straight unworn edges and a fully legible spine. The second album of this legendary Canterbury band is a true psychedelic/progressive classic album!!
This has the original polylined blue printed inner sleeve as first issued.
I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! There are not any jumps, pops or skips. Some light static at the beginning of each side for a few seconds only. Very remarkable for this 1972 vinyl!!! The heavy vinyl with high groovewalls provide a fantastic audio experience with channelling not equalled by the later re-issues. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!! A beautiful CLASSIC with supreme songcraft and this is when it all came wonderfully together, a joy to listen to!!!!
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.
