Description
Caravan 'In the Land of Grey and Pink' 1971 UK original vinyl album on the Deram red/white label, catalogue number SDL R1
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side One: ZAL-10424.P-1D 1 UM Side Two: ZAL-10425.P-1D 1 UG
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides have many light surface lines and a few that are slightly more obvious but I can't feel any of them. The start and finish of both sides are a little bit crackly and at the start of side 1 track 1 there's a soft tick just audible for about a minute, but it's not very noticeable and all through the record plays very nicely with just a bit of rustling in the quieter parts -nothing serious, no sticks, no sticks, no jumps.
The track title can be seen on the label photographs, there are quite a few faint spindle lines, no writing, no damage.
The cover is a gatefold type, it has a laminate across the front, back and spine. There is a little surface rub wear, a few indents and light scratches but all of this is barely visible and it generally has an excellent appearance. The centre piece, which is not laminated, has some print rub between the faces and a some faint brown spotting ('foxing') but apart from that and a little general ageing, it's also excellent.
The spine has been squashed, which also means the front edges are out of line but the printing on the spine is near perfect/fully readable.
The inner sleeve is the original, blue on white stereo with poly-liner, fully intact, no seam splits, no tears.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say the cover is 'very good+' to 'excellent' and the record is at least' very good'
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
