Caravan : If I Could Do It All Over Again, I'd Do It All Over You 2W / 4W Transitional Press
This early repress on the Decca label plays to a very high standard for the vast majority. There are no clicks or pops and whilst there is some light static during some of the quieter sections it is never overpowering in my opinion. The clarity and depth of the audio overall is very impressive. The vinyl itself is in lovely condition with very little wear.
The laminated cover is in excellent condition with only some light marking on the back cover. The original inner sleeve is in superb condition. This early transitional pressing still has the same 2W / 4W matrix as the first pressing.

Visual description
The vinyl is in great condition and still has a lovely glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright light I can only see a small number of ultra faint hairlines and they are very difficult to find! S2 has one faint crescent shaped line at the start of the first track but it has no impact on the audio. There is no groove or surface wear and the Decca labels are super clean with only some light spindle wear around the centre hole.
Play Grading
The brief intro on 'If I Could Do It All Over Again, I'd Do It All Over You' plays perfectly and the opening vocal section is so close to that with only 3/4 very quiet statics at the start. The following instrumental has 4/5 light ticks / clicks about 10 seconds in but they're really not that obvious. Aside from that the clarity of sound is superb and the final vocal passage has no intrusion. The vast majority plays with genuine quality but overall an Ex+ grade is fair.
'And I Wish Were Stoned...' has only the lightest of static on the intro and the opening vocal is similar with a couple of very quiet dull ticks also. The first 'chorus' is superb and from then on it plays with wonderful clarity and hardly any background, there is certainly nothing intrusive. The mid instrumental for example - stunning sound quality and the next vocal is equally as good. Of course the melodies are so strong and the original sonic quality is still very much in evidence. The final guitar solo is 'as new' with zero intrusion. The 'Don't Worry' part of the track is very clean also. The quiet opening vocal has only the bare minimum of light static and thereafter plays with clinical precision including the percussive section at the end. A grade ranging between Ex+ and Mint- is deserved here.
The quiet opening section on 'As I Feel I Die' plays very clearly but with one light static click at the start and a little background static although quiet for the most part. As it builds the audio is superb and then as the pace increases along with the volume the playback is faultless. It continues in the same way through every vocal and instrumental passage. The Hammond organ section is STUNNING! The opening section is Ex- but from then on Mint- is a fair reflection of the audio.
The opening section on 'With An Ear To The Ground You Can Make It' is very quiet and yet plays very clearly with only the bare minimum of light static. As the drums come in the audio is perfect and it proceeds in the same way. The next quieter passage has barely any static - this track in true Caravan style is made up of variously named sections and they all play with great quality - the next two quiet vocal passages for example play with sublime clarity and very little static which is so quiet and not intrusive in any way, it's hardly worth a mention. The very quiet closing instrumental again plays so clearly with only the bare minimum of light background static here and there. This track again grades between Ex+ and Mint-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The intro on 'Hello Hello' plays very clearly with only a handful of minor statics and the opening vocal has only a couple at the start. The chorus is perfect and it continues to play to a very hight standard. Aside from a small number of insignificant statics the playback is very clean and there are no clicks or pops to be heard. The warmth and depth of the audio is very impressive and overall Near Mint- is about right.
The quiet opening section on 'Asforteri' has some light background static only and as the volume increases picks up the audio is superb. A game of two halves - Ex and then Mint
'Can't Be Long Now' has some static on the quiet opening section but it certainly isn't overpowering, it is never loud at any point. The long almost improvised instrumental then plays with stunning quality through every section. There is no interference and no distortion on the top end. The opening section is Ex- but from then on it plays to a Mint- standard.
The intro on 'Limits' has some light static and a handful of dull sounds but as the volume increases the audio is very clean and precise. Just a little static on the fade out. Another Ex- intro and then Near Mint for the rest of the track.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The laminated cover is in excellent condition with not very much shelf wear. The edges and spine are in great shape with hardly any wear and the corners are very clean also. The opening edge has only minimal handling wear and the front cover is super clean with no marking and only a few small laminate creases by the bottom edge and a handful next to the spine. A couple of small laminate creases on the surface also. The back cover is not laminated and is relatively clean considering its age. It has some light marking but not an extensive amount and a little ringwear also. There's nothing that really stands out.
The ploy-lined Decca inner is in superb condition with no side splits or tears, barely any marking and light creasing only.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
