Description
This is the Great and Very Rare Absolute First Pressing Issue of CARL PERKINS "WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIIN" Lp issued in 1958. This is the Original pressing with "1A/1A" First Press matrix found in the deadwax with the Columbia 6 Eye Logo. MONO Pressing. Columbia CL 1234 The back cover is also stamped "DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE" The Vinyl is a very strong VG++ and is glossy and thick and inflexible. The Cover is an extremely strong VG++ to NM- as there is no splits, no ringwear, and barely any edgewear. Just some slight cornerwear (but nothing serious). (Please note: Bottom of front cover looks as if there is a taped seam but it is not...it is simply the design of the bottom of the front cover ....it is part of a stage gate or fence type item...check other full front shots of other originals and you will see what I mean. Thanks! )
Labels are Near Mint. Clean!
This record was Sound Tested and it plays wonderfully. Excellent full rich mono sound fidelity with hardly any surface noise to be found. ENJOY THIS FIRST PRESSING.
