LA NOTTE / MISTER BLUE ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by CARLA BONI music by complesso I MISTICI. Original Italian pressing on the CETRA label (SP 776), from 1960. Super-obscure and still practically unknown vocal jazz item. A new discovery for us, at least :) The amazing LA NOTTE side features Boni's sexy femme fatale lead vocals over hip beatnik jazz by the mysterious, I Mistici session men. Finger snapping rhythm hooks and blasting horns a la Fever with that Helen Merrill / Jula De Palma / Lilian Terry / Maria Moris cum '50s American cheese cake / sex kitten sound. Boni also shows her vocal prowess with killer scat too. Psychedelic studio FX cum primitive dub sounds a la Marina Moran - Eden Rock to her wordless harmonies and screams on the outro. Great for DJs. Booming production sound. Big record with the few Japanese collectors who know it. Never comes up for sale. Rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M- overall) with some hairlines. Booming production sound. Light surface noises. Pen 'x' mark to one side of label. Record housed in the original Cetra label sleeve. Archive numbers (to front and back sleeve). Wear / creasing and mini tears (mostly to top open side). Rare 45!!!
