RITMI DI LATTA / CACCIA SPIETATA ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single (music from L'ORA Di UCCIDERE (LA MORTE VESTITA DI DOLLARI) aka DOG EAT DOG! aka WHEN STRANGERS MEET) by CARLO SAVINA. Original Italian pressing on the CAM label (CA 2567), from 1964. Tense, rhythmically stunning film noir / gangster movie mood music and desirable item with Italian jazz / OST collectors as it features the very best themes from Savina's L'Ora Di Uccidere CAM soundtrack Lp :) A new discovery for us, as we did not know this single even existed until recently. A super-obscure double-sider with fabulous modern jazz and voodoo horror suspense from the German-Italo film directed by Albert Zugsmith starring Hollywood pin-up / blond bombshell, Jayne Mansfield with Isa Miranda and Cameron Mitchell. Our soundclip opens with the infectious jump jazz / latin cu-bop of RITMI DI LATTA featuring tenor sax / vibes / bongos and guitar solos. Disturbing, cinematic lounge with afro cuban rhythms mixed into menacing orchestrations a la Egisto Macchi throughout the CACCIA SPIETATA theme. Savina plays some experimental piano on here too. Uncredited musicians but the jazz should appeal to fans of Franco Cerri / Basso Valdambrini / Nunzio Rotondo et al. Bizarre and striking artwork sleeve with a grotesque, bloodied hand at the piano / a scared looking actress holding a gun and floating dead body in a baroque fountain pool (on back sleeve). Seldom comes up for sale. Very rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny M- condition with a few hairlines from sleeve removal. Some light surface noises / soft pops. Taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The picture sleeve is closer to M- condition overall with a little creasing from storage. Some dirt marks from storage. A few small wear marks to edges. Rare OST 45!!!
