CARLOS GARNETT – Cosmos Nucleus (1976) Muse-5104 – VG+/EX (cover/vinyl)

Great spiritual afro jazz-funk album by this saxophonist joined by a great group that features Otis McCleary on guitar, Kenny Kirkland on electric piano, Cecil McBee on electric bass, Byron Benbow on drums and Neil Clarke and Gene Ballard on congas and percussion. There’s also a slew of other horn players too (check item photos for details). This one features “Saxy,” the 12:18-minute title track “Cosmos Nucleus,” “Wise Old Men,” “Mystery of Ages,” “Kafira,” “and “Bed-Stuy Blues.” Really tough to find this one around.

This is a really nice copy. The cover has only light wear, some seam wear at to and a 4-inch seam split at bottom from jacket opening in and a small name written in the top right back corner. The vinyl is super clean and glossy. I grade this conservatively VG+/EX (cover/record).
