Description

In 1968, the mild mannered folk singer Carolyn Hester—Richard Farina’s first wife—took an unexpected 180-degree turn when, out of nowhere, she decided to embark on an unrestrained tilt into psych-folk and country rock. This record is the lone document of it. Some of it’s nuts and some of it’s fantastic, but all of it was panned—the album went nowhere and Hester would only release one more US record for the next 20 years, when she made a comeback as a mild-mannered folk singer.

One of the great strange detours in rock history, and far more listenable than, say, Moby’s speed-metal album.

Fantastic condition, no noticeable flaws.
