Early United States Mono pressing of this hard to find album, released in 1962. This recording features an early appearance on record by Bob Dylan, who plays harmonica.
The copy we are offering here is a promotional issue, with both record labels reading DEMONSTRATION RECORD NOT FOR SALE. The same promo message is also stamped in red on the center of the back cover.
Also very rare is the silver circular factory sticker on the front of the cover, which reads “A NEW STAR ON COLUMBIA RECORDS”. Columbia used this sticker sparingly for only a short period of time in the early sixties and it doesn’t show up on many jackets.
COVER: The cover has survived well to be over 50 years old. It shows a bit of surface wear and seam wear and the bottom right corner has some rubbing. There is no seam splitting, no tears, and no writing. It grades VG+.
VINYL: This LP looks like it has had maybe a handful of easy plays. It grades NM.
