Description
- Cat Stevens released his fourth studio album "Tea For The Tillerman" in November 1970 on A&M Records. The record was a huge Top 10 hit and includes the singles "Wild World" and "Father and Son."
- This copy of (SP-4280) is from the First Pressing more than 50-years-ago and is in exceptional condition. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap and is in near mint condition. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Lee Hulko at Sterling Sound in NYC and this copy was pressed by Monarch Record Mfg. Co. in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched SP 4459 RE-1 M-2 (MR) ?15396 (13) STERLING LH except for the Monarch (MR) logo and Sterling which are stamped.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
- Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 51 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
