The Very Best of Cat Stevens is an album by Cat Stevens, released in 1990.

A compilation album with the same title was also released in 2000, with an update in 2003. In many respects, though, it is a substantially different album. The cover art on the 1990 release is a clear reference to the Teaser and the Firecat album cover (both feature a boy in a top hat, "Teaser", accompanied by an orange cat, "Firecat", beside a fence with a full moon overhead). The 2000 and 2003 releases use a simple portrait of the artist.

All records are professionally cleaned using a MOTH cleaning system prior to despatch. Not only does this wet clean/vacuuming process remove surface marks such as fingerprints, etc, it also significantly reduces background noise and many argue that the lower noise floor results in opening up of the sound and improved fidelity.

A word about hairline marks. It is almost impossible to find any non-sealed record without any hairline marks - many had them from new, particularly if sold with cardboard inner sleeves. They are a result of storage and use and have little impact on sound quality.

I package my records in the strongest purpose made mailers for maximum safety.

All records are removed from their picture sleeves where appropriate and posted in a separate plain white inner to avoid damage during transit.
