Here is an ULTRA RARE and wonderful Cat Stevens rarity, an original 10" acetate of the two versions of the great song IF YOU WANNA SING OUT, SING OUT he created for the1971 film "Harold and Maude" that was never released until the 1984 compilation "Footsteps In The Dark" (put together by yours truly with Yusuf Islam, as Cat Stevens was then known.) These tracks were created and never released, because Cat Stevens wanted "something special" for the film. The acetate has two completely different (and unreleased) versions of "Sing Out," one with just piano, the second with piano and voice only. These originally came from the film's director, Hal Ashby. The acetate is near mint and is fantastic ! Impossibly rare--you won't ever see another one of these !
