Description

CATALYST – self-titled (1972) Cobblestone – Strong VG+/M-

Monster spiritual jazz-funk by this quartet of Tyron Brown, Sherman Ferguson, Eddie Green and Odean Pope joined by numerous guest artists including Anthony Jackson on bass, Norman Harris on guitar and Skip Drinkwater on poppy pod! This is their super rare debut album. This has “Ain’t It the Truth,” “East,” “Catalyst Is Coming,” “Jabali,” “New-Found Truths” and “Salaam.” Super sought after and phenomenal.

This is a beautiful copy. The laminated cover is clean with a few WWNO-FM radio station ink stamps on the front and back cover. There’s also a minor 3-inch seam split in the center of the top seam and a partially removed sticker on the front right cover that is over a cut out hole. The vinyl is super glossy and looks unplayed. I grade this conservatively Strong VG+/M- (cover/vinyl).
