 A REALLY HARD SWIRL TO FIND, probably one of the five rarest, ESPECIALLY IN THIS  SUPREME CONDITION

ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!STUNNING SONGCRAFT!!!AN INSPIRATION TO MANY SUBSEQUENT  PROG TOP ACTS!!!

!!!!AN EXTREMELY HARD FIND!!! A few hundred (rumoured to be around 250) were ever pressed of this fantastic prog/psych album. It is hard to understand why this never sold in larger numbers.

In all my years this is only the second time I have come across this PROGMONSTER of which only 250 are rumoured to be about. Rare ... anyone?? This one is more desirable still as the vinyl does not appear to have been played very much. No marks and no hairlines, under a strong light source only a few wispy retraction traces.

Sensational sound quality, I have played this through in its entirety and it was a great joy!!! NO skips or jumps. NO clicks or crackle, this is really a stunning heavy glossy jet black vinyl .  Inspected under an intense light source and angled.

            This is a classic Prog album in stunning condition. It will be a long long time before this album turns up again in this condition. With this most unsettling of debut albums, Catapilla staked their claim as perhaps the most dramatic and certainly most visionary of all the British progressive bands saddled with the epithet "jazz-rock". "Catapilla" features intricate arrangements, the gyrations of vocalist extraordinaire Anna Meek and some mighty heavy riffing, courtesy of the Catapilla horn section.

Oh dear. I've been listening to progressive rock for more than 15 years and I was wondering if there were some hidden gems... and I've found one ! Thanks to Progarchives ! Catapilla's first and second (review coming) are definitely classics and might I say "masterpieces" ? I haven't given many 5 stars but this album deserves it. Such creativity and energy in the longer tracks. I found the music to have the same feeling or driving force as King Crimson had in the 70s. Goodness ! I had not heard so much passion in music for a long time ! Don't mind the date of issue (1971). If you like progressive rock with a touch of blues, fusion and sometimes psychedelic singing and jamming, not to mention the superb playing... Get this album ! (From: Progarchives.com)

       Vinyl: EX+!! A sensational find!!! I have played this in FULL twice over> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more detailed observation. There are NO jumps NO skips NO sticks. This vinyl has barely been played and has clearly been looked after by a careful owner. Not even any hairline at all!!! This is the ultimate MUSEUM copy that will serve as a very healthy investment for the future!! I am very glad to be able to report that this is a fine slab of vinyl without any problems at all and as such worthy of inclusion of any great prog collection.

     Gatefold Sleeve:  EX.  NO creases at all. Wonderful gatefold sleeve. A fantastic upgrade hardly found in this beautifully preserved condition. The inside gatefold is likewise in stunning condition. Beautiful dead straight edges and a great crisp opening. These matt Vertigo sleeves are prone to extensive wear. This one is very close to perfect!!!  It has one catalogue sticker towards the top right and a small colourfill to the rear bottom. barely any storage wear on the edges and a super crisp opening. The spine is 100% legible with just one tiny little nick. I think it will be a very difficult task to find this album at all any time soon, leave alone in this STUNNING condition!!! The spine is 100% legible.  It is extremely hard to find this album at all. Finding it in this supreme condition is nearly impossible!!!

Inner Vertigo Swirl sleeve: EX condition. This has the correct date stamp, the original polylined inner!! Only some slight yellowing near the edges. Hard to find swirl inners that have not yellowed somewhat. cat. nr. written onto one of the corners in ballpoint. Light edge creases but no splits at all.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Nowadays any Vertigo Swirl is very collectable. There are, however, a select few, not more than a dozen or so that will raise the pulses of collectors around the world. This is one of them!!! This album is impossible to find esp. in this sublime condition!!! One of half a dozen of hardest to find Swirls, probably with "Ben", "Linda Hoyle" and "Tudor Lodge".

 This is  a great and seriously collectable super album!!
