CATHARSIS' 2nd album Les Chevrons LP - Rare French Early Progressive Vinyl Album... nice example of crossover Psych-Prog a la Early King Crimson and Pink Floyd. The laminated gatefold sleeve and the record are in excellent+ condition. Check out my other listings for more Catharsis albums.

Catharsis' music is heavily influenced that of the post-psychedelic Pink Floyd and whose album Ummagumma is characteristic.
This influence is particularly recognizable in the album The Chevrons where successive long beach music going on crescendo then falling suddenly. The style, however more and more lively sound, with a predominance of keyboards, percussion and voices including that of Charlotte, particularly remarkable in the title Masq.
This music is mainly instrumental. On a base of keyboards and percussion in addition to voix and many different instruments from all sources, sometimes quite surprising, such as rattle or even the musical saw. The voice is treated as equipment in a form generally choir. Mostly the songs contain no text, when it can not be reduced to a single word, as in the title Chelum on the album The Chevrons.
Like Pink Floyd's music was Catharsis often during those same years, the basis for emissions or reports of French radio and television in particular, the title Masq was indicative of the program " this is my planet"On Europe
