Description
Up for auction is a super nice copy of the album "Cattin' With Coltrane And Quinichette" released on Prestige Records (PRLP 7158) in 1959. This is a genuine deep groove, mono original first pressing, guaranteed. RVG in the run-out. Correct Bergenfield, NJ address on labels and jacket. Comes with original onion paper inner sleeve. This copy is in beautiful condition. The laminated cover retains its high gloss finish. No tears, lifting or separation of the laminate. No ring wear. Seams are strong, intact, no splits, no cracking. No age yellowing to the white laminate, which is common for this album. One small corner bump in upper left; lower left corner slightly rubbed. Back cover is super clean, no writing, no ring wear, no age discoloration. Beautiful bone white. Has "Not for Sale" stamped in upper middle in relatively small lettering. I'd grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-). The vinyl is also in superb condition. No visible scratches or scuffs. Retains its original high gloss shine beautifully. No marks around the spindle holes, indicating very little, if any previous play or handling. I wouldn't be surprised if this album has been played more than a couple times, if that. Side A has a few very faint pressing dimples that do not affect play back and are hard to see except under certain lighting conditions and at certain angles. I've play test this record and it sounds super clean and clear, nothing to distract from the listening pleasure. I'm tracking my records on a high-end Oracle Mark V turntable with a SME tone arm and Van den Hul cartridge--and this record tracks and sounds just like you'd expect a mono record in this beautiful condition would. I'd grade the vinyl Near Mint Minus (NM-). 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. No risk buying. You are unlikely to find a nicer example of this pressing any time soon.
