Description
"Transcribed....The Columbia Broadcasting System and it's 217 affiliated stations present THE CBS RADIO WORKSHOP. Radio's distinguished series dedicated to man's imagination...The Theater of the Mind..."
Here's an original 16" disc containing the complete 30-minute radio program "THE CBS RADIO WORKSHOP" as originally broadcast on March 30, 1956. This is the tenth program in the legendary series, titled "THE EX-URBANITES" and hosted by famous CBS newsman ERIC SEVAREID. The show is about the migration of advertising men to the suburbs and it dramatizes the adjustment of people who previously lived in urban areas. Actors include Hans Conreid, John Larkin, Jan Miner and many more. It's a sustaining broadcast without commercial announcements, but there is a plug for the following week's program at the end (plus one for the succeeding 5-minute newcast and the Jack Carson Show). Full CBS network closing.
See scans for views of both sides of the disc labels. The discs are clean and uncracked. There are no skips or scratches. I have not professionally cleaned the discs. These were recorded by San Diego State College and the recording is in incredible condition. Still in the original protective sleeve.
Shipping cost will be adjusted for multiple purchases.
