Bemerkungen / Comments:

At the dawning of the '60s many Turkish workers emigrated to Germany, where they -more or less unintentionally- started a sort of music scene focusing on the latest musical developments back home, in Turkey. Türküola was one of the prominent companies to appeal to this feeling of 'gurbet', issueing records by Baris Manço, Cem Karaca, Asik Mahzuni Serif and many more Turkish artists for decades. This LP collects highlights from Türküola's late '60s releases of the legendary Cem Karaca and his energetic beatband APASLAR. Great stuff from Karaca's early career!
