KEITH TIPPETT led, Centipede, one of the greatest British free-jazz units of the early seventies. This is their first and only LP featuring the cream of late sixties/early seventies British jazz rock including most of Nucleus and Soft Machine. Names such as Ian Carr, Elton Dean, Ian McDonald, Alan Skidmore, Karl Jenkins, John Marshall, Robert Wyatt, Brian Godding, Julie Tippett, Zoot Money and Roy Babbington. As you might expect the music is incredibly demanding progressive free-jazz played to an inpeccable level of accomplishment. Boy, these guys were really pushing the envelope - possibly the most complex jazz-rock ever recorded.

Cover: Again virtually no signs of use. Housed in a beautifully illustrated deluxe gatefold cover - retains original printers bloom. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and just a couple of light creases to opening edge. Spine is straight, square and stiff. Grades as top Ex+
