Description

CENTIPEDE "Septober Energy" original PROMO Double LP (RCA DJL2-5042). Very rare BANDED PROMO edition. Has DJ stickers on sleeve and inside gatefold and has DJ catalog number on labels and Matrix numbers. Also Record is Specially Banded for DJs to cue to the sections they want to play. This is the 1974 US pressing of the album which was originally issued on the legendary UK progressive RCA NEON label. This US edition has a completely different sleeve and much more colorful! This was the album masterminded by Keith and Julie Tippett and was produced by Robert Fripp (of King Crimson) and back of sleeve has liner notes by Robert Wyatt (of Soft Machine) who also appears on this album. Also includes an all star cast of UK progressive legends including: Ian McDonald, Ian Carr, Karl Jenkins, Mike Patto, Zoot Money, Boz Burrell, Elton Dean, John Marshall and many more. Music is improvisational jazz rock and should please Soft Machine and Nucleus fans. Sleeve is VG. Records are VG+.
