Description
I have been a record collector for 40 years and have always “invested” in first UK or US pressings in the best possible condition - ideally excellent plus or better.
Lockdown now allowed me to go through my collection and I decided to let some albums go over the next weeks and months.
For auction:
CENTIPEDE- Septober Energy, released on the beautiful RCA Neon label, NE9, in 1971.
This is a magnificent progressive jazz rock double album from a band with more than 50 members, Organized and led by the late jazz pianist Keith Tippett. Formed in 1970, Centipede brought together the who is who in British jazz and rock, including musicians from bands like Soft Machine, King Crimsom, Nucleus and Blossom Toes.
This is a real beauty, don’t miss out!! Only played once by me to play grade.
What makes this copy so special is the NEAR MINT condition of the vinyl, the white cover has the usual staining/foxing and a hardly visible price sticker removal mark. Cover printed by Howards Printers and is graded EXCELLENT. Please see photos for more details.
Comes with the original 2 x black poly lined die-cut inner sleeves, patent no. and Made in Great Britain reference.
Vinyl: stamped matrix: record 1 - AGBS 0604-2E & AGBS 0605-2E and record 2 - AGBS 0606-2E & AGBS 0607-2E
Play graded on a Thorens TD 160, Ortofon VMS20E MkII, B&W 685 speakers.
Grading as per RRPG.
Postage: tracked and signed UK / worldwide, combined postage possible, posted in professional mailers with stiffeners, vinyl will be removed from the cover and placed behind cover in a plastic sleeve.
