Record Info: THE DALEKS From the B.B.C. T.V. Series Dr. Who - MA 106 - (Matrix: MA 106 A2 H / MA 106 B2 H)
In their flight from Pursuer-Daleks, Dr Who and his friends land on yet another strange planet. Trapped in a city built on massive stilts which tower above a dangerous jungle, they fight their way to safety.
Cover: Very Good Plus (VG+) - Some pin size dent marks on the cover - Back cover off-white with a some slight smudge marks
Record: "Good plus (G+)" in some places, but mostly "Very Good (VG)" or better -
Side 1: Some light non feelable scratches noticeable if held at an angle -Very noticeable crackle at the start - Sticks in middle of first Dalek scene (On an older 1970's Phillips turntable the sticking becomes a click which vanishes into the crackling) The crackling becomes fainter now and doesn't distrait from the story too much - there is some clicking about halfway through that lasts for a minute or so -
Side 2: Some light marks noticeable if held at an angle - Some crackling at the start where the soundtrack sounds worn for the first 30 seconds or so - Sticks after the Dalek is exterminated (On an older 1970's Phillips turntable there is just a click) Background crackle on the rest of the record which is heard in the quieter passages -

This is the Second pressing that does not feature the Ron Grainer & Delia Derbyshire Dr. Who theme performed by the Eric Winstone Orchestra even though the sleeve still states this. (The record labels on this 2nd pressing no longer mention Eric Winstone).
The opening theme is replaced with some electronic sound effects created by Barry Gray and some Thunderbirds music composed by Barry Gray. All the BBC sound effects and the Dr. Who theme have been removed from the second pressing due to copyright issues. So this second pressing is an alternative version of a The Daleks record with a score by Barry Gray.
One of the rare Century 21 mini-albums.
