ELECTRIFYING JAZZ SESSION by CULT BASSIST and COMPOSER CHARLES MINGUS, recorded LIVE at San Francisco’s JAZZ WORKSHOP CLUB. Features LONG (20-minute +) VERSIONS of two CLASSIC MINGUS TUNES: “NEW FABLES” and “MEDITATION ( FOR A PAIR OF WIRE CUTTERS)”. Personnel consists of CHARLES MINGUS on BASS, CLIFFORD JORDAN on TENOR SAX, JANE GETZ on PIANO and DANNY RICHMOND on DRUMS. JOHN HANDY plays ALTO SAX on “NEW FABLES”. RARE LP.
