Up for sale in this auction is a rare original MONO pressing of Charles Mingus' "The Clown pressed in 1957 by Atlantic Records. This copy has black center labels which denotes it as a first pressing! Clean center labels. Vinyl is in VG- shape some light marks present. A couple of light pops present on A2 and B2. Jacket is in VG- to VG (Closer to VG) shape with some corner wear/stubbing and the top seam has some wear leading toward a seam split but not quite split yet. Overall a nice copy of this hard to find original pressing!

• M  Mint - Perfect in all ways.
• M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
• NM- Near Mint Minus - Extremely well cared for record. Probably a record that's been around for some years but extremely well looked after, but still not quite new enough to call Mint.
• VG++ Very Good Plus - As close to NM as it comes.
• VG+  Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
• VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
• VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
• G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
