CHARLEY CHRISTIAN RARE ESOTERIC GUITAR ’JAZZ IMMORTAL’
Charley Christian’s name is, of course, synonymous with the birth of the electric guitar in jazz. This is an offering on the rare ‘Esoteric’ label out of New York City in 1941. Both tracks were recorded at the famous Minton’s Playhouse. Sidemen include Thelonious Monk on piano, Joe Guy on trumpet, Kenny Clarke on drums and Nick Finton on drums.
Both the record and label are in beautiful condition. The cover has clear tape around the edges. It hasn’t dulled the color even though it’s obviously been there a long time. Great bop!

MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition.
VERY GOOD: played quite a few times, no real deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras slight amount of wear and tear.
GOOD: showing some wear and tear. Reasonable, playable sound. No major defects in record, cover, label, extras.
FAIR: Sound quality deteriorated. Cover, label, extras display folding, scuffing, marks. .
