CHARLEY PATTON Founder Of Delta Blues YAZOO USA 1st 54 King St, NY 2 LP
Charley Patton, Founder Of The Delta Blues.
Original early 1970s USA pressed Yazoo Records mono two LP set housed in gatefold sleeve with inset booklet, L-1020.
Heavy duty vinyl pressing with black and gold "Peacock" labels, heavy duty gatefold sleeve with booklet insert featuring detailed song analysis, b/w photos and 54 King Street, New York address to inner.
Vinyl EX plus to near mint. Labels are bright and undulled and hard to detect any spider trail marks around the spindle areas. Playing surfaces are bright and glossy with just a very few superficial hairline scuff marks.
Sleeve top end VG plus and generally very well preserved for a USA sleeve of such vintage. Front and rear panels still retain rich unfaded colouration with just a trace of ringwear scuffing to top of front panel only. Spine is unbroken and in great shape, and other edges have just one or two isolated dots of chipping. Some splitting to joints of head and foot of spine and tips gently knocked. White interior and pages of booklet have retained good unbrowned colouration, although with slight mustiness and a very few minor and unobtrusive browning spots. Else inner of sleeve and booklet are free of marks, inscriptions, tears or creases.
All in all a very well preserved example of this Delta Blues classic double LP.
