Records Visual Grading System

  • MINT =
    • Certainly never been played. This would be an item where it was opened but not played, maybe just to check the label variation. In most of cases it is still factory sealed.

  • NM = (Near Mint) =
    • Record should show no wear from playing. Some slighest paper scuffs may be visible. Owner took very good care and / or played it occasionally.

  • EX=The record is clearly much better than Very Good. The vinyl was played infrequently and visually looks in very good shape with minor amount of handling and scuffs.

  • VG=
    • The vinyl plays fine with some background noise or pops. Has scuffs and scratches but it does not affect play. Handling will be more noticeable.
