CHARLIE PARKER No. 1
10 inch LP. 33RPM Original Press 1948 Dial 201 Mono Deep Groove
Microgroove LP, pressed on heavy thick material similar to shellac.
Side 1- Charlie Parker Septet Charlie Parker / Lucky Thompson / Miles Davis / Dodo Marmarosa / Arvin Garrison / Vic McMillan / Roy Porter
Side 2 - Charlie Parker Quintet Charlie Parker / Howard McGhee / Jimmy Bunn / Bob Kesterson / Roy Porter
This record has seen some playing time over the past 70 years, but still highly collectible in any condition. Sleeve has small writing on top, breaks & splits, but is still structurally sound. Visually, Vinyl has scuffs and scratches.
Record plays with surface noise, crackles & pops, throughout, but does not overwhelm the music. More noticiable in-between tracks and softer passages There are a few half-beat jumps on side 1 About 1 minute into track 1 of side 2, there is a repeat skip.
