SCRAPPLE FROM THE APPLE IS A BEBOP COMPOSITION BY CHAARLIE PARKER, WRITTEN IN 1947 COMMONLY RECOGNIZED AS A JAZZ STANDARD WRITTEN IN F MAJOR. THE SONGS BORROWS ITS CHARD PROGRESSION FROM " HONEYSUCKLE ROSE" A COMMON PRACTICE FOR PARKER AS HE BASED MANY OF HIS SUCCESSFUL TUNES OVER THE ALREADY KNOWN CHARD CHANGES. THIS 78 IS ON THE ORIGINAL DIAL LABEL # 1021AND IT SHOWS PLENTY OF GLOSS AND LUSTER, AND IT PLAYS WITH EXCELLENT SOUND FOR A RECORD NOW "64 YEARS OLD" AND IT GRADES AS A VG++ OR BETTER. These Collectable 78's are getting very hard to find anymore, and the good ones are quickly becoming scarce. This 78 is from the large collection of Rock & Roll and R&B and Jazz 78's that I have in my personal collection, and it would pay to mark this site as one of your favorites as there will be plenty more to come.
