Description

This original poster is for 4 gigs at The Nite Club above the Playhouse, Edinburgh, Scotland in early 1980.

The gigs were as follows:-

29th February - Cheetahs supported by Everest The Hard Way (both from Edinburgh)

1st March  - The Squibs (from Aberdeen) supported by Sid Ozalid

7th March - The Freeze supported by Strange Daze (soon to be renamed The Delmontes)

8th March - Jim Wilkie's Mafia supported by The Provokers

The poster is in very good condition. It has no significant marks. There are pin holes and blue tack marks in each corner and down the sides. There are no tears. The poster has been folded into quarters, and obviously has crease marks where it has been folded.

Many of these bands were very popular and successful in the central Scotland area. Most of the bands have disappeared without a trace but, Gordon Sharp of The Freeze is still going strong in Cindytalk.

This poster measures approximately 18cm by 48cm or 7" by 19"

This was obtained from  Bruce's Record Shop, Rose Street, Edinburgh, Scotland and was not for sale to the general public.

A superb memento of the early '80's Scottish punk/new wave scene that would look great on any wall!

This item comes from a non-smoking and pet free environment.

The poster, when posted, will be packed with protective packaging.
