WOW, ANOTHER RARE COUNTRY ALBUM WITH A STRONG NEAR MINT CONDITION VINYL. This is the CHET ATKINS "HI-FI IN FOCUS" (LPM-1577) released in 1958, The outer jacket is in strong EXC condition (just a little off center when printed and a tiny edge chip at lower front-see photos). This is the rarer version that DOES NOT have the guitars on the cover but has the winning contest cover from the RCA VICTOR-CANON CAMERA ALBUM COVER CONTEST. That winner was A. M. Baunach of Bethlehem, PA whose winning transparency was chosen from 30,000 transparencies submitted from 7,000 entrants from around the world.
This flawless guitar music from one of the greatest players ever is simply spectacular without the surface noise or other distractions often found in vintage albums. The amazing 13 tracks include such hits as "Walk, Don't Run", "Yesterdays", "Ain't Misbehaving'" and "Tara's Theme' (From Gone with the Wind). Included is the original color RCA Victor inner sleeve (in NM condition) promoting RCA Victor's Sound Spectaculars for '59 (suggesting this release for likely 1958 rather than the earliest pressings believed to be in 1957. (this is not one of the later re-issues of the 1960s of this highly popular Chet Atkins release).
