Description
Up for sale is a rare 10” mono recording of Chet Baker from 1954.
While the surface of the vinyl shows quite a few light scratches across the grooves, I played it through both sides and it did not skip.
The sound is crackly. I think that’s part due to the age and partly due to the recording technique of the time.
I found it to be an emotionally moving performance.
There is a missing piece from the face of the outer cardboard sleeve, as you can see in the picture.
The original paper sleeve has splits on three sides so be careful taking it out of the plastic sleeve.
I found it impossible to get the original paper sleeve and album into the stiff cardboard sleeve so I suggest you don’t do it. I always kept them stored separately in the plastic outer sleeve.
There is a return period if you aren’t happy with the quality of the sound.
