LP is inNear Mintcondition.
The thick lustrous vinyl is nearly flawless, withoutmarks, scuffs or scratches of any kind.There are a few miniscule but inaudible sleeve marks.
The fidelity is superb, with no distortion, pops, clicks or background noise of any kind.
Jacket is inNear Mintcondition. Original heavy and glossyjacket is in very nice condition. There are virtually no marks, scuffs, or blemishes of any kind.There is a small amount of wear on the top right corner. This lp is stored in the original factory inner sleeve. Chet Baker came to fame with the Gerry Mulligan Quartet during 1952-53. His quiet middle-register trumpet playing, which was very intuitive, always came across as vulnerable and charismatic, and almost overnight he became one of the most popular trumpet players in jazz. After the group broke up, Baker had great success with his own quartet featuring pianist Russ Freeman and he began to take occasional vocals that increased his audience even more. In the fall of 1955, Baker put together a new group with pianist Dick Twardzik for a tour of Europe. Twardzik died from a fatal drug overdose in October, cutting short a brief life and a potentially significant career. Chet Baker In Europe was recorded a week earlier and features magical interplay between Baker and Twardzik on fresh new material. It serves as a memorial to Dick Twardzik and a reminder of just how exciting a trumpeter Chet Baker was this early in his career.
