You are bidding for a CLASSIC UK 50'S R&B/ BLUES 78 RPM single by CHICAGO BILL (BIG BILL BROONZY) calledKEEP YOUR HANDS OFF backed withSTUMP BLUES issued on the MELODISC record label in the UK in 1952, cat number 11914(YELLOW AND PINK LABEL). The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels .The record has little wear with few scuffs and few surface scratches and plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise. CLASSIC US BLUES from BROONZY with two ROCKING BLUES tracks. BROONZY was a pioneering BLUES SINGER who had been around singing with among others WASHBOARD SAM aand many others, writiung songs that have become BLUES CLASSICS, and with his own pioneering guitar style. During the early fifties he toured the UK and had a huge influence on the BLUES . JAZZ. and FOLK scenes. While in the UK he recorded a few tracks and released a couple of UK records of which this is one. LONNIE DONEGAN copied his style and stole his songs and invented SKIFFLE. ALEXIS KORNER did the same and started the UK BLUES SCENE out of which came the STONES, CLAPTON, and all the others. One of the most influential artists ever,a little bit of rock history. RARE in decent condition, from my own collection.
