RELEASED 1951
WITH A GENERIC, BROWN PAPER SLEEVE (were these provided by the Record Store?) that may or may not have been original to the purchase.
RECORD CONDITION:-
KEEP ...- COUPLE OF LIGHT SCUFFS AND A 1cm UNFEELABLE MARK
STUMP ...- 5 OR 6 LIGHT SPLOTCHES/SCUFFS
These shellac/10"/78s are from my father's collection and would have been bought, roughly, in the very late 1940s into early 1950s.
I have sold several collectable vinyl albums in recent years and have, I believe, a reasonable feel for a grading of those on the usual grading systems. However these are 70 year old 78s. I do not have the ability to play test these. Nor am I aware of how 'lenient' grading should be given their age. I can, therefore, only visually check the record over, and then "say it as I see it". In that I have tried to be as objective and clear as I am able. I have sold a dozen or so so far on that basis and have had no complaints so far.
I ask that purchases made are on that understanding.
Records will be packaged and sent with care, hence the postage pricing, which reflects the use of record mailers bought for use with my vinyl sales. After 'test packing' I can combine postage as follows for the UK:-
1 or 2 shellacs in a single package - £6.50
3 or 4 shellacs in a single package - £7.50
IF YOU BUY MORE THAN 1 PLEASE WAIT FOR MY COMBINED POSTAGE INVOICE BEFORE PAYING.
I not sure whether it is prudent to go more than 4 at a time.
