Description

This is an auction for three rare LPs, Chicago- The Blues Today- Volumes 1, 2 & 3.

These were released on Fontana Records in 1966 and have catalogue numbers-  TFL6068   TFL6069   TFL6070.

Condition: The sleeves have some light discolouring. There are also a few small lamination creases and lastly buffing to the very corners. Spine and edges Ex. Please check the pictures fine sleeves and graded at a strict VG+.

These come with there original inner sleeves that have a little yellowing (no tears).

Labels: All labels are clean, under closer examination some spider spindle trails can be seen on each side, the centre hole shows little to no signs of wear on all sides.

Vinyl-  Volume 1- VG+     Volume 2- Fair    Volume 3- VG+

Volumes 1 & 3 play fine with occasional very quiet crackle, there is no major deterioration in sound quality through wear as they are hardly played.

Volume 2 has one surface scratch that causes a jump right at the start of track one, this then plays ok giving a tick that fades away by the middle of track 2, after this plays fine as does side two, of course this is reflected in the fair grade it is given but is perhaps slightly better than fair..

A nice set of Blues LPs with 40+ tracks playing superbly well.
