This offer is from your friendly non-commercial vendor Michael (La belle Ville de Québec) (username MichaelMcCubbinQuebec).  My musical tastes over the years run to a fairly wide variety of musical styles including, in order of importance: folk (especially Canadian), not so much traditional but more of the singer-songwriter and progressive types emerging in the 1960s and 1970s and its tradition since; rock, especially progressive / psychedelic (hence excluding for the most part trite clichéd mainstream pop-rock of the American style); and smatterings of “world music”, jazz and big band, blues, soul, and classical.  What I most like to listen to, especially today (much less likely to be among the LPs I am selling), is fusion music in those areas, that pushes boundaries and resists classification.

I just played this through entirely to provide up-to-date verification of the playback quality.  In recent years all I’ve had to play these discs on is one of those cheap widely promoted record/CD/radio players.  So how I describe background noise is in part a function of an inferior system and needle.  Hence, for many of you, my evaluations are likely conservative.  I might also note that the last generation of vinyl records were mostly cheaply made and created background sound almost as soon as they were first played.  We may have to settle for poor vinyl in 1980s and early 1990s at the time audio cassettes (even worse in my opinion) were dominant.

At my recent listen I assessed the background vinyl noise as medium.  The vinyl is in pretty decent condition, it has one small scratch and some hairline marks.  The vinyl clearly needs to be cleaned.  I leave that to the collector who buys that to do it properly.

Cover and disc labels   VG+(+)  

The cover is in very good condition.  All the front edges have been expertly taped with narrow tape that does not detract from the appearance of the cover.  The tape is holding up very well.  There is no wear on the bottom edge or the spine that I can see.  At the top right, the edge was bumped; at that spot there is medium wear (the tape ripped off there).  The opening edges show no wear.  On the front there is mild, hardly noticeable ring wear, at the top only.  There is mild wear to the art work otherwise, with a bit of a snowy look.  The back is similar except that the ring wear is more pronounced at the top, left side and bottom.

And, I suppose this was inevitable to find on at least one of my albums:  there is a Chiquita banana label at the back, not obscuring art work or print (Who hasn't had the urge to take a Chiquita label and stick it on something!).  I wrote "1970" very small on the front top right corner, and my name is written small along the extreme bottom edge of the back.  The labels are fine, except my name is written very small on the side 1 label.

BILLING:  When you buy this album please await my personally authorized bill that I email you, as opposed to what may be an “official” looking, but usually wrong, PayPal bill generated right after auction end.  eBay/PayPal screws up the bills sent automatically after a win, often not including the actual shipping cost (frequently not included or shown way too high), and not including handling costs. 

I include in handling costs the following (Canadian figures):  1) envelope cost, $2.28; 2) listing costs; 3) $1.00 miscellaneous costs as a rough estimate of overhead use like computer, printer, stationery etc.  

Repairs:  Many of the LPs I am selling were repaired, reinforced or cleaned by me, usually many years ago when I bought them ? I am not an expert in such things.  If there is need for further repairs (e.g., gluing separated sides) I leave that to your tastes and/or expertise.  Since I am recovering many dust covers and some plastic outside sleeves from albums being disposed of as impossible to sell (I list less than a quarter of my albums), when albums are missing dust covers, or if they are faded or torn, I will insert a better, appropriate one, and perhaps a plastic sleeve.
