Description
Here is the ORIENTAL DANCE TROUPE in their immortal rendition of "CHINESE ROSE," a record that surely raised a few eyebrows and tugged a few coat-tails. However, the colorful names only mask the Usual Suspects at Grey Gull records, the cheapest label in the world, dressing up their gaudy goods in exotic eastern silks and fake Charlie Chan accents. It's really MIKE MOSIELLO (trumpet) and ANDY SANELLA (steel guitar and alto sax) and their motley cohorts once again. Naturally, this is the "B" side of the record, an uncopyrighted tune played by a band working for peanuts.
The "A" side, is by VINCENT LOPEZ AND HIS ORCHESTRA - a recognizable band, for once - doing "PICCOLO PETE," a recognizable hit.
This original 1929 Van Dyke 71777 is in glossy E condition - rare for one of these highly dispensable records.
