Description
Here is a very nice original stereo copy of the Chocolate Watch Band's first LP release "No Way Out" on Tower ST-5096.
Markings in the dead wax are ST-1-5096-B2 on side 1 and ST-2-5096-B2 on side 2. Both sides have the steel-stamped marking "IAM" inside a triangle.
Visually, you can see some minor scuffs and light scratches in the vinyl, but nothing serious. It plays very well, with a few ticks, pops, and audible crackle in the some (but not all) of the quiet spots and the lead-in grooves. Overall, it plays extremely well with no skips. The labels are almost pristine, no writing, and very light spindle marks. The disk is not warped.
The cover is beautiful, and is still in the shrink wrap. There are a few small holes in the shrink and it is not torn. On the front, there are a few small lumps, apparently some debris got between the slick and the cardboard when it was glued together. This is NOT from grit being inside the sleeve after it was sold (and possibly damaging the record)-it was this way from the factory. You can feel the lumps on the inside of the sleeve as well as the outside. The last 3 pictures are an attempt to show these lumps-they don't photograph well. There is some slight residue from a long ago removed sticker on the back, right next to the Tower logo at the top right. This is on top of the shrink, not inside.
There are no splits, no cut corners, no drill holes, no writing, no water or mold stains, no creases, no corner bruises.
