DESCRIPTION
Chris Connor - “Chris Connor Sings The George Gershwin Almanac Of Song” Atlantic Records 2-601 (Mono) from 1957. Great Sexy Female Jazz Vocal Album from Chris Connor singing the Gershwin Songbook. Players include Al Cohn, Oscar Pettiford, Sam Most, Mundell Lowe, Osie Johnson, Milt Hinton, Ed Shaughnessy, Joe Puma, Joe Newman, Ralph Sharon, Doc Severinsen, Eddie Costa, Milt Jackson and Peanuts Hucko among others. Gatefold Cover includes a Bound-In Double-Sided info page. On the Deep Groove Black with Silver Print Atlantic label.
CONDITION
The Laminated Gatefold Sleeve is in decent shape. There is basic ring and edge shelf wear and corner softening. The top seam on the back sleeve is split most of the way. There is some basic overall dirtiness but still solid with no writing, cutouts, tears, stains, etc., looks nice and should still rate as VG. The Vinyl itself is in clean, Glossy condition looking fairly lightly played. There are some light scuffs and hairlines but plays great, mostly EX to Near Mint with a few spots of crackling and a couple soft tics - might just need a better cleaning than I can provide with my Discwaher brush. Visually probably a good VG to VG+ but I am giving it a VG+ grade since it plays better than many new LPs I have heard. The labels show a couple light spindle trails but are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
