CHRIS SIEVEY AND THE FRESHIES: collection of memorabilia UK 1978 - 1982
A nice collection of original memorabilia items by the great Manchester DIY PUNK POWERPOP artist Chris Sievey and his band THE FRESHIES - some of them are promo only items, signed or have messages by Chris Sievey and together there is a bunch of press clippings related to band (including reference to the great "Virgin Book of Reject Slips"!).
The collection includes:
- an original copy of the Freshies newsletter 'The Whispering Campaign' Issue #3 September 1982 (double printed) which includes mail-order catalogue of all the very crare Freshies audio and video cassettes.
- a promo postcard of the Freshies signed by all members and Chris's message on the back (Razz address in Manchester)
- a beautiful promo postcard of an artistic b&w Chris Sievey portrait.
- a 'Denigration Now' promo leaflet (A5 size) with Chris Sievey message on the back
- a 'Denigration Now' promo leaflet (A4 size) - same as above but small-poster size
- a 'I can't get bouncing babies' promo leaflet (A5) with Chris Sievey message on the pack
- a 'Dancing doctors' promo flyer (A4) -this is xeroxed by 100% an original promo item
- a rare 'Freshies' 'blue on pink' promo card
- a bunch of original press cuttings realted to Chris Sievey and Freshies.
Condition
all items from vg++ to ex
* Strict Record Collector grading (however I don't use higher than ex/ex grade)
P&P
registered p&p for Europe GBP6.80, all other countries GBP8.80
* If you prefer standard mail please ask - however the risk would be on buyer
* I'm a collector myself so strict packing policies applied (I have never received a complaint for a broken item - all records moved out of ps and put in plain sleeve and picture sleeve in plastic sleeve).
